How can I access my modem's set-up or wizard?

Network and Tech Support

To access the modems set up or wizard for the Wi-Fi Hub+, Halo or TP-Link modems, connect a spare Ethernet cable into an Ethernet LAN port on your computer, then type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser. This will open the modem Login screen similar to the one shown below.

From here, you'll be able to perform tasks like:

  • Changing your Wi-Fi network name and password
  • Changing your Wi-Fi channels
  • Enabling a guest Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz/5GHz)
  • Configuring your modem date and time
  • Connecting via WPS
  • Limiting device access (parental controls)
  • Setting up port forwarding on your modem
  • Setting up your modem as an access point
We don't recommend changing settings on your modem unless you're comfortable doing so. If you ever need a hand, jump on our Live Chat and one of our team will be able to assist.

If you're using your own modem, you can get help with logging into most major modem manufacturers here. If you need to make advanced changes to your own modem's setting, we'd recommend consulting your modems help guide, or contact the manufacturer.
