Setting up your connection

Let's check your physical set up first. Having nbn™ Fibre to the Premises connection, also known as FTTP, will require your connection to be set up like the picture below.

Check your power

The nbn™ connection box, also known as a Network Termination Device or NTD, has its own power supply. Ensure the nbn™ box (NTD), power supply and modem are powered on.

Check your cabling

Other things that you need to check:

  • Ensure your modem's WAN port is connected via ethernet cable to the nbn™ box (NTD) UNI-D port, usually the number 1 port
  • Ensure there is no phone cable connected to your modem DSL port
