About alternative phone sockets
Some homes have multiple phone sockets spread throughout the home that are connected to the main lead-in. This can cause intermittent connection issues and degrade speeds.
You can try plugging your modem into another phone socket to see if that resolves the issue.
If the issue is resolved by connecting to another phone socket this may be caused by poor internal wiring.
